Goat Rodeo (I know, I look really macho in this pic)

I was back on the bus today, headed towards Kroombit Cattle station near the small town of Biloela. Bileola means "white cockatoo" in one of the Aborigine languages. This is the first part of my trip up the east coast that we actually went inland and it was a nice change. Some people say that the outback isn't exciting but I like it a lot better than beaches.

We arrived at the cattle station and after everyone was checked in we found some goats and had a goat rodeo. It sounds stupid but was rather entertaining. I roped a goat and proved that there is some cowboy in my genes somewhere. In the evening I rode a mechanical bull, and didn't embrass myself. Most of the people got thrown before the first buck. The stop was similar in style to the one in Barrington. The meal that was provided was traditionally cooked in camp ovens (giant pots) and was great because it was meat and potatoes. This would be an excellent place for an extended stop because you could work on the station.
