Ken at Seafarer's Memorial on the Homer Spit

It was a cold & rainy day, so a good day to sleep in and just hang out. We could have probably left Homer today, but we have a dinner rez at a restaurant that was highly recommended, and we had to wait 2 days to even get in, so we figured we'd better check it out. We spent the early part of the day at the Pratt Museum; art, science & cultural center. It was very nice and interesting, mostly history about early life on Kachemak Bay region. We then went to dinner at "The Little Mermaid", the food was very spendy, but very good, kind of gormet' style of food, curiosity has been satisfied, but not sure if we'd go back. After dinner we went into a little shop next to the restaurant called the Blue Urchin, and fell in love with a piece of metal art, a whale tail. We plan on putting it on our bathroom wall...I think it's kind of an interesting piece, you'll have to visit us in Big Lake and let us know what you think...

We're getting excited for tomorrow, will be leaving the Kenai Peninsula after 23 days!!!!
