A campground at a casino!

In the shadow of Circus Circus

For two!

May 13, Wednesday - Friday, May 15

The first stop after leaving June Lake was in Bishop at Erik Schat's wonderful bakery. Then we continued on to Big Pine where we took the overland route to Nevada over several mountain passes and complete nowhere. Once in Nevada we drove on down to Las Vegas where we had a reservation at the KOA campground right at "Circus Circus" - nothing more than a huge parking lot, but with full hook-ups (and therefore air-conditioning) and right on the Strip! Well, the Strip is the Strip and it is in the 90s in Las Vegas. So going outside is silly and the casinos are weird, to say the least, and the action doesn't start any too early. So relaxing in the RV, making yogurt, and doing laundry were the exciting activities of the day.
