|Since my last post I have been in Ohakune, Palmerston North and I am now in Wellington. In Ohakune the weather sucked and it rained most of the time that I was there but I got out for a little while and did some walking along a river path I found. That was pretty much all that I did while I was there besides sit around reading. I stayed in Ohakune for two nights and then headed to Palmerston North which was on the way to Wellington. I would have gone straight to Wellington but all the hostels were booked because of a rugby game. Palmerston was a fair sized college town but once agian because of rain I did not really do much exploring. I finally got to Wellington on Sunday. So far I would have to rank Wellington as my favorite city and it beats Auckland hands down. On Monday I began with a walk to the parliament house and a building called the beehive. From there I walked all the to the other side of the harbour to oriental bay. Today I took the Wellington cable car up to the botanic gardens. From there I walked back to Oriental bay where I found a path up to Mt. victoria. The climb up Mt. Victoria was pretty difficult but the views from the top where worth the effort.
