|We left Billy and Linda's and followed a very scenic drive into PA following the Allegheny River through the Allegheny National Forest. We made several stops along the way the first being the Ranger Station to get info on what to see. We took a hike, stopped into a dam and saw some huge fish congregating (there must have been a meeting called), drove over and saw a beach and marina. Then we stopped for ice cream at a place Billy suggested right on the river. Next we headed to the Drake Oil Museum and found out that oil was first discovered in this country in Titusville PA. This is why Quaker State,Pennzoil and other oils have names from Pennsylvania. The oil found here, while it can make gasoline is better suited for lubrication. From there we stayed overnight at the Caboose Motel. It is made up of either old cabooses or box cars. It is a neat idea. The four of us walked to dinner at a local brew pub called the Blue Canoe where the food was very good. Off for more adventures today as we meander towards Wisconsin and the BF'er Banquet an annual reunion for our college buddies. Enjoy the pics.
