Ken left at 5:30 am for his Halibut fishing excursion, Jane slept in (there is a surprise, right?). MN friends, Mary & Frank Condon who are staying up the Peninsula a few miles, just happened to be coming down to Homer for the day, so they picked Jane up, went out to lunch, did a little shopping, walked the beach down on the Spit, and then went down and met Ken's boat when he came in from Halibut fishing. The Halibut fishing was a success, they each got their limit of fish (2 each). There were 4 other guys from WI on the fishing boat. Ken was surprised but happy to see us down on the dock; We gave Ken's fish to Mary & Frank, they packaged & froze the fish and will be adding it to their box of Salmon to fly back to Mpls. with them the end of the month.
