Well, everyday I think tomorrow will be the day I can catch up on this blog but somehow each day is fuller than the last! So, I am going to jump through a couple of weeks worth of activities very briefly in this one. Our last day & evening with Bonnie & Larry was spent mostly relaxing. Bonnie & I did laundry while the guys played darts. Somehow that doesn't seem quite right! We had a wonderful meal of baby back ribs and at dusk started a nice campfire accompanied by a full moon. I took a couple of pics but didn't want to mess with the tripod for good ones. Got a couple that were ok. It was quite pretty and made for a neat evening. Dick and Lou joined us as well. We had some good laughs and it was a nice way to end their visit. Their return flight home required that we leave pretty early the following morning so we called it an early night. We sure have missed them since they returned home and hopefully they'll return again soon, like next year!

On the 18th Marci treated Dick & Lou and Larry & I to a production of Neil Simon's 'Broadway Bound', done in Rapid City by the Black Hills Community Theatre. Marci's daughter Becky is the Box Office Manager and a former actor as well. We enjoyed the play very much. Afterward we went to Minerva's for dinner where we enjoyed an excellent meal. We'd arranged to visit Becky & her hubby Randy at their home after dinner so we stopped at Culver's and picked up ice cream for dessert. My first taste of Culver's & it was yummy! They certainly have a lovely home & a beautiful piece of property just outside of Rapid.

This past week has been quite full and included a dinner invite at Dick & Lou's. Marci was there as well and the pot roast was delish! Paul has been out of town for about 2 weeks so we've really enjoyed having Marci join us several times. Another evening we enjoyed lasagna at Steve & Janet's and I have to say, it was one of the best, if not THE best, I've ever had! A friend of their's joined us as well. Chuck is a talented musician and plays in the Heritage Village cowboy band with Steve. He entertained us with some accordion music out on the deck before dinner and some fine piano playing after. Wow, what a talent, wish you could hear it for yourself! Janet played a couple of tunes as well and she is very talented too. Sure wish I had spent the time & effort in my younger years to learn to play. Especially the guitar. Steve assures me it's never too late, maybe next year I can talk him into some lessons, lol!

We took the truck in on Tuesday for an oil change and a brake job. Turned out that our rotors needed replaced as well, so that turned out to be a costly deal. And, our TV has been making a high pitched, sporadic buzzing sound so we purchased a new TV while we were in town. It's the original, heavy old style TV so our new one weighs considerably less and takes up much less space. We didn't want it to go out while we're on the road here shortly so decided to bite the bullet & get it now. Actually, we're still working on a permanent mount for it, as it's currently resting on the old pull-out slide. Hopefully we'll finish that project tomorrow. We moved all of the electronics connected to it today & that turned out to be quite a job! But the DVR is now more accessible and so is the DVD player/recorder, so Mama is happy!

Well, I think I've covered enough for now. The past three days have been packed full with the Buffalo Roundup activities so think I'll save that for another day. We've certainly had a great time so check back for more info & pics too!
