Out for some more sightseeing today, we took Roger & ReeAnn up to Newberry National Volcanic Monument. I have posted photos in the past, for Pete & I it was our 4th trip to take in the spectacular views, For Roger & ReeAnn...their 1st.

The Monument is located in Deschutes National Forrest, it takes in some 54,000 plus acres of lakes, lava flows & some breath taking views. The higihest point is Paulina Peak (7,985 ft.). Newberry is often referred to as Newberry Crater, but it is actually a Caldera.

We took in the views of Newberry Peak, Paulina Falls, Paulina Lake & East Lake, also we spent time walking through some of the lava flows, a great muscle builder...lol.

The weather was perfect for our visit today, beautiful skies & awesome views.
