Beautiful weather for burgers and a campfire...

Well, the rally is finally over and I realized I hadn't posted any pics of it! I didn't take many this year but Dick shared a couple with me that he took downtown. We don't get out 'among' them while the bikers are all here, too crowded & too difficult to maneuver our big ole truck amongst them. I certainly enjoyed meeting many of them, there were representatives from all over the world as well as the USA. I'm afraid it might be a dying breed though as we didn't notice many 'young' riders. Most are 55+ and they are complaining of the high prices for food, drinks, lodging and overall vendor prices. And the vendor's are complaining about their cost increases too. It would be a serious blow to the Black Hills economy to lose this annual event so I hope it that never happens. 71 years is a long time for an event and the hills are truly a beautiful place to ride.

Our friends Jay & Sharon come up every year from Nebraska with their Harley and camp here at Custer Mtn. They normally leave Friday or early Saturday but decided to stay until Sunday morning this year so we decided to have a bbq Saturday night. Dick was in charge of the campfire and we all enjoyed our burgers & visiting before it finally got late & cool enough to call it a night. A nice end to a busy, interesting week...
