|We arrived at Thorburn Lake campgound around lunch time. After lunch, we drove to Terra-Nova National Park and watched a film on the park at the visitors center. Even though it was lightly raining, we decided to hike Buckley Cove Trail, a 4.5 mile trail back to a beautiful view of a narrow inlet out to the ocean. The weeds along the trail were tall and wet so we all got our trouser legs wet, and our boots and socks soaked. The trail was a little slick for walking but we managed okay. The view at the end of the trail was okay, but not as good as we had hoped. We did see and watch one mature Bald Eagle for awhile. No pictures as it was too far away and our best views were through the field glasses. After the hike, we stopped at a restaurant in Charlottetown and had supper. Afterwards, Frankie spotted an old working telephone booth and couldn’t believe that one could still be in use. We took his picture in the booth. We had bought some DVD’s at Walmart a couple days ago, so we watched an old western before going to bed. We’ll be getting up very early for the 120 mile drive to St Johns Airport.
