Veterans Memorial in Martinsville IN

I LOVE this memorial. Especially the Twin Towers. We should not forget.

Post Office mural painted in 1937 by the WPA who built this...

Well actually up. We are in Kokomo Indiana (IN). The Beach Boys song says we'll get there fast and then we'll take it slow but, a 140 mile trip took nearly 300 miles because of construction and detours. Anyway, we are not in a hot parking lot anymore. We are in the trees and waiting to visit with my radio friend Curt. I haven't seen him since 1984 BUT he is one of 5 people who have made me gaffau in my lifetime. I mean really flat out belly laugh. It is a short list and some of you reading know who makes it. OK...... I'll break the suspense. My Father, Collins (my Daughter) Don Orilio, Mark Diamond (a Junior High School friend) and Curt. I hired him as a news man when I was Program Director of WBTF in Attica NY. Not only was he good but he went to Geneseo, definitely a plus. Going to catch up with Curt tomorrow, and laugh. Enjoy the pics.
