Tuesday Larry & I loaded up our Sea Eagle Paddleski and headed for Bismark Lake. It's only about 2 miles down the road which makes it really convenient. I was worried that loading & unloading it might be more than I could handle but with help from my honey it was actually pretty easy. Once it's inflated we pull it up onto the 5th wheel hitch and bungee cord it tightly. It rides up there well and slides right down into the water easily. We're thinking about adding a fishing seat so that Larry will sit higher but haven't moved on that idea yet. I spoke to Tim about it and he will help get us set up when we are ready. He's such a great guy and he and his wife Crystal are always so helpful. If you are ever in the market for an inflatable please make sure you visit their website before you buy anywhere else. They promise not to be undersold and will certainly give you the best customer service as well as advice to help you chose the best option for your wants & needs! Here's their website address, and please be sure & tell them Larry & Lee Ann sent me...

Sea Eagle Boat

The weather was perfect today, sunny and in the mid 70's with a slight breeze with a bit cloud cover part of the time. I started off in a sleeveless top but soon covered with a t-shirt. I burn easily even with a strong sunscreen. Larry just gets tanner & tanner, smart aleck! He did burn around his ankles though & on the back of his neck. Dick brought a couple of leaves down from their aloe Vera plant when we returned home & it was wonderful, took the sting & redness right out.

We caught 6 fish, 4 small perch and 2 trout. Well, I caught one and Larry caught 5! I got hit 5-6 times but didn't hook them quick enough. What's up with that? I think I was too busy trying to take pics, but that's why I'm really here I guess. I was using my point & shoot Canon today instead of my Nikon but it makes me nervous to take it on the boat. I would be sick if it went overboard. I enjoyed watching a mama duck with her 5 little one's make their way all over the lake. And there were numerous turtles sunning on logs but they were quick to slide back into the water every time we got too close. Our new trolling motor is really quiet and does a great job and my honey loves the fish finder I gave him for his birthday. Today was it's maiden voyage.

We arrived home in time to shower and have a quick bite to eat before heading downtown for the music. Our friends the Ramblin' Rangers were playing again. Thursday is the last night for music here at the museum for the year. They've decided to wrap it up before the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally begins on Monday the 8th. More & more bikes are arriving daily. I'll be working with Lou at the t-shirt store shortly, looking forward to that. It's always fun to meet folks from all over this great country.

Well, gotta go do some laundry. Have a great day everyone...
