Thanks Van & Rose for a great party! We had a blast....

As I mentioned in my earlier post we joined the family reunion/torchlight party at Van & Rose's on Wednesday after returning from Sturgis. The skies were clear as the evening progressed and it was a lovely evening to mingle about & enjoy all of the musicians. Our friends, Brad & Bonnie, the Ramblin' Rangers were there and did a couple of great sets. Their dog even joined in, howling along to the beat, it was quite comical! Several of Van's family sing & play and they are very talented, especially his sister. And of course Pleasant Valley Sunday was in great form as well!

It was wonderful for Van to have family in from all over the country. I took a pretty cool pic of most of them up on the deck of the house. I was a bit worried that it might collapse under all that weight, but fortunately it held tight! There were several tents up on the property to accommodate the children for sleeping. After snacks, burgers, dogs & steaks folks gathered round the campfire for S'mores. Van's dad had an old satellite dish on the property from back in the '80's and Van made a fire pit using it as the base. Pretty cool and made for a neat, large campfire.

Well, another great day spent in the hills. I heard on the news today that there are record highs all over the country, especially back East. One of my friends on Facebook commented that even the sun was looking for shade! It's supposed to be in the high 70's tomorrow so we are finally going fishing, yayyy! It's over 90 today so we're staying in the shade but looking forward to tomorrow. Have a great day everyone, and thanks for stopping by...
