The Giant Roadrunner was the sight to see in Ft. Stockton

A nasty surprise when we got out of the Dragon

The tire must have blown on the way

Hard to believe how much damage

The saga continues . . .

We finally left eastern Texas after having numerous repairs completed. We planned a stop over in Ft. Stockton at Parkview RV Park one night and then on to El Paso. We arrived about 2:30 pm and stepped out of the coach to go into the office and register. We were totally shocked to find the condition of the car. Somewhere along the way a tire must have blown. We didn't feel a thing inside the Dragon. We spent the night and I called the insurance company. They asked where we were . . . I told them the middle of nowhere in Texas. They concurred when they looked up body shops for us. There were none. It was finally decided that we would get a tire put on and then tow it to El Paso where the repairs could be made more easily. We wound up getting 4 new tires to be safe and luckily the tire shop said our rim was not damaged beyond usability. We decided not to spend another night and headed to El Paso.

Just a side note - We would not recommend Parkview RV Park. It was just a big parking lot and the hookups were questionable. Lots of trailers and what looked like abandoned mobile homes.
