Nice music!

It's been a busy week so I'm a bit behind in posting, but today I will share a bit of the flavor of the Gold Discovery Day's parade. Please keep in mind that this is not a 'Macy's Day Parade' with all of the extravagant floats but a Black Hills small city parade. However, it does have it's own unique flavor, lol! If you've seen any of our past years photos, you'll recognize some of this years entries, but we enjoyed seeing them again just the same. Of course it helps when the weather is beautiful like it was this particular morning. Dick was able to join us this year, for the first time ever, so it was all new for him. Lou & I sat up in the back of the truck & Dick & Larry perched on the tailgate. Larry says I use that word a lot, perched, but I find it describes things nicely!

After the parade we headed down the street a block to the car show which was already in full swing. There were a number of new vehicles this year & we really had a great time checking them out. It's amazing how many times Larry, Dick & Lou commented 'I used to have one of these'. In order to keep my photos to a manageable number I will post the parade today & the car show tomorrow. Thanks for checking in...
