We got a peak at Emerald Lake during our time with Peggy and Robert and decided that it deserved another look, and indeed it did. I can safely say that I've never seen wildflowers like this before. Field after field with a spread of colors that nearly take you breath away. This is what Nancy and I have been looking for. And then there was Emerald Lake! We hiked around the lake and straight up the trail to the main road. At that point, we walked down the closed road that runs above the lake. What a view! Never has a name more aptly described what we saw. The pictures speak for themselves. Hope you enjoy them.
