|I am soooo far behind posting I can't even believe it! We left the Sedona area last Thursday morning and arrived in Phoenix without incident.
But before I get into any of that, I'm going to back track a bit and share a few pics of Tawnia's baby shower. It was on April 16th, just before we left Vegas. Two of her lifelong girl friends, Melissa & Tiffany, hosted the party and they did a great job. The decorations were so cute. Lines of infant clothing adorned the room along with an adorable wreath made with diapers & other baby accessories.
We played the traditional baby shower games, and as usual, I suck at them! Well. All but one. I nearly won the prize for unscrambling the most 'baby related clues' first. And, I almost won the baby pacifier necklace game. As soon as you spoke the word 'baby' in any form you had to give your necklace up. The ladies were losing them quick. So, I just kept my mouth shut all day, can you believe that???? Me neither, lol! I lost mine when Jasmine had a boo-boo and I said, "oh baby, come here to grandma. I'll kiss it & make it all better for you". I don't think that slip should count, do you????
Anyway, Levi was due on May 21st. So, Larry & I planned our return to Vegas mid May for our annual physical's and the birth of niece Ashley's baby girl and Larry & Tawnia's baby boy. Well, as Miss Jasmine puts it, Levi's not 'cookin' anymore!
Born May 2nd, at 11:22am, Levi arrived weighing in at 6lbs, 3oz and 19 inches long. Mom and son are doing well after a long night. Larry called frequently with updates for us & Bonnie spent the night at the hospital giving encouragement. Thanks sis, glad you were there!
An interesting note. Larry's grown son, Jeffrey, was born on May 2, 1991. Two sons, 20 years apart, born on the same day. Good job Tawnia! Can't wait to see you all in a week or so.
Well, that's it for now. I'll try to catch up next post, maybe tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by...
