That's one big miner....entrance to the Badlands Historical Museum

Rodeo display made of horseshoes?

We are back in Drumheller and continuing to cross of our list of ‘items to do’ while in Alberta! Today was a trip to the Badlands Historical Museum. We drive by this place every day on our way to the post office – always saying we must stop in to see what’s there. Today was the day!

This place has a few historical displays and lots of items for sale in the store at the front. We spent a couple of hours looking, reading and just spending a relaxing day. One really interesting item was the Two Wheel Car that was hand built by Murray Olsen. It requires no supports or skid plates – it balances entirely on its own two wheels! Plus it can drive speeds up to 5 MPH. They even let you sit inside – Peter tried it out and sure enough it still balanced – go figure!

Bye for now, Peter & Connie
