Early, in the very wee hours of this morning (Jan. 07, 2010) we slowly followed another Cruise ship, the Norwegian Cruise Line, the Norwegian Star into Huatulco. The Star backed into her berth from about a quarter mile out of the mouth of the inlet to Huatulco as we patiently waited and followed forward to our berth on the other side of the dock. The Star only stayed for 5 hrs, while our stay involved 8 hrs. We set sail at 17:00 (5 pm or 6 pm, est). Sorry to hear of all the frezzzzzzing weather in the eastern & south eastern parts of the US.....it was a warm 86-90 degrees and high humidity, just a few overcast clouds that gave us a calm, not too hot, not too sunny day to do all our "excursionning."

Ellie, Debbie & I went to La Brisis luxury resort so that Ellie could make sure the beaches there were in good shape & not going to waste. I helped them get to the beach, get settled and abandoned them at 11 am to go back to the ship, where I had my own "excursion" of snorkeling at another beach bay in Huatulco. Do not fear, the girls were in "Chaperoned" tour guide hands and helped them back to the bus and got them anything they wanted.....they work for tips, of course and "love" tourists.

I included lots of pictures but you can also see many of the same (or similar) pictures from last 2008 World Cruise journal (early part of the journal). These were different as much as possible, since we ventured out a little more than we did last time.
