We left Estero and travelled up to N.Ft. Meyers with the intent of visiting ECHO which is a series of farms designed to teach others in the world how to reduce hunger via agriculture. Unfortunately we were not there on a tour day but I am thinking it is akin to Heifer Intl. in that developing countries are taught how to do sustainable farming. We went on to our next adventure riding the buggybus in the swamps. This is the dry season in Florida so there really weren't any swamps. Even though, we an excellent 90 minute tour of this huge working ranch with plenty of sights. We then headed for our campground at the Myakka River State Park and took a short bike ride up to the very interesting visitor's center. Today we are taking a bike tour of the nature preserve. Then we are headed east of Tampa to watch our grand niece Payton's high school playoff fast pitch softball game. Excited! Enjoy the pics.
