It almost seems a little strange to be traveling by ourselves. We got a good start this morning, after saying our goodbyes, and drove north to Truro. From there we got back on the Trans Canada and drove west. We decided to stop at Fredericton, so we could catch up on laundry. We haven’t had a sewer hookup for the last few days, so decided to find a full hookup campsite, and stop early to do laundry. Glenna found Hartt Island Campground, and after a quick call we reserved a site.
It is a very nice campground. I don’t know if you saw it on the news a few weeks ago, but we did, Hurricane Arthur did some major damage in New Brunswick. We had seen where several trailers got washed into an erosion trench. It turns out this is the campground, and I’ve posted a couple pictures of the washout. It appears there was a four foot culvert that ran the length of the street, under a row of campsites. As you can see by the pictures, some repairs are now necessary.
Glenna is getting caught up with the laundry, and for me it’s have a beer Thursday. Life is good.
