Lucky Glenna, she finally got her real cruise! We left Argentia, a port near St. John’s and cruised east toward North Sydney. We left port at 5 pm, enjoyed a leisurely cocktail, and thus the cruise began. We enjoyed a very nice gluten free dinner, followed by more drinks and a live show that took us through to bed time. We had our own cabin, complete with exterior window, now we are cruising. We had a good sleep, the seas were calm and my Gravol worked perfectly. After a ten hour sleep, we headed back down to the dining room for breakfast. We arrived about an hour late, at about 10:30, after a very enjoyable cruise.
We drove west on the Trans Canada to Truro and then south to Halifax. We are staying at Shubie Campground in nearby Dartmouth. It’s a nice campground, although it has no sewer hookup, and too many trees for our satellite TV to work. The biggest reason for coming to Halifax was to meet up with Morgan and Amanda. They recently got engaged and we wanted to celebrate with them. Morgan was Peter’s best man, and now the rolls will be reversed. We had a delicious gluten free dinner at Chives Bistro, and a wonderful visit.
