Mt McKinley and others

Today we have left Fairbanks behind and are traveling down the Parks Highway (AK 3) towards Denali and Anchorage. We received word that we would have an appointment with the Ortho office in Anchorage on Tuesday. Since Eddi does not particularly like to drive the coach, we are planning mainly 4-5 hour days. Our plan is to stop at the Trapper Creek Inn and RV Park about 240 miles down the Parks Highway. Since I broke my ankle, we decided that going on a tour into Denali National Forest was not a good idea. On the drive we crossed the Nenana River several times as it parallels the Parks down through Denali. The Alaska RR also crosses the Parks several times. The first crossing is where the Nenana and the Tanana join to continue North to the Yukon. One of the spots along the Parks was a place called Skinny Dicks Halfway Inn, which as you can see is mainly just a bunch of cabins. The scenery was fantastic, the weather was beautiful although it had rained the night before. We even got a chance to see Mt McKinley.
