Another day at Rocky Harbour

Last night’s musical event was fabulous. Anyone who ends up in Gros Morne National Park should not miss Anchors Aweigh in Rocky Harbour.

Today we met up with Dean and Sandy, Newfoundlanders that also have a place on Windsong Way at TGO in Florida. We went out for lunch in Rocky Harbour, and then they took us for a tour of Norris Point, a quaint little fishing town that has a gorgeous bay. Daily whale watching tour boats leave from here. While we were on the dock enjoying the view, several whales appeared a short distance from shore and put on quite a show for us. I got some pictures, but they don’t do justice to what we really saw, and heard.

I’ve included a picture of our site here at the KOA. We have good satellite reception, absolutely no Rogers cell service, and borderline wifi service. I have been able to get email, but doing blog updates is slow and aggravating.
