Where RV Now? travel blog

We finished up all of our appointments yesterday. We did not get to see all of our friends, alas!

This morning we het the road by 7:30 am to beat the wind. The weather calls for winds in excess of 20 mph and gusts in the 30's range tomorrow, so we got out of Amarillo a day sooner than planned.

Tonight, we pulled into Holloman AFB near Alamogordo for the night. Plan to leave tomorrow and head into Tucson, AZ to park on Davis Monthan Air Force Base(home of the "Boneyard", bunches of airplanes stored in the desert- do a Google Earth Close-up to see the planes) for a few days. We have stayed here before, but we did not see everything on our to-do list. We plan to go up to Mt. Lemmon (home of the Ski High ski lift- yes they actually have skiing in southern AZ), Tubac (an artsy-fartsy town south of here)and Tombstone.
