Day 1 of our drive to California

We left Crystal River on our journey to Los Angeles. We pulled out of the house at around 12:00 noon and headed up Highway 19 (The Nature Coast Highway) to access Interstate 10. We will take I-10 all the way to California. The weather was overcast when we left home but became sunny for a while and then overcast again. The interstate was a rather nice drive because much of it has been repaved in the panhandle. The traffic wasn't too bad. After the time change, it seemed to get dark a little earlier than when we were at home. We started searching for campgrounds at Pensacola and took several detours looking for a decent place but...we finally found one in Alabama at milepost 53. It looks like a decent place and it has WIFI so that I am able to get this online for all of you. It is now 9:00 pm (CST) and I am ready to go to bed. It started to rain just a short time ago so we stopped at the right time. We will get up early and head to Mobile, Alabam and Biloxi, Mississippi to do some sightseeing tomorrow in both of those cities.
