|We are in Springfield, Missouri just outside of Branson now. I am a bit behind in posting as things have been hectic around here.
My Mom had a heart attack and was admitted into the hospital in Ely. An hour later they airlifted her to a hospital in St George, Utah for treatment and to see a cardiologist. They originally thought they would do an angioplasty or put in a couple of stents. Worse case, another by-pass(she had a quadruple done 12 years ago). They did none of the above. The news was not good, the heart is too damaged and too plugged. They prescribed Plavix and refilled her nitro, kept her another day & she is now home. At that point I made airline reservations to fly home & help her recuperate for a week or so.
The day she arrived home they took my Dad to the hospital at midnight, bleeding profusely from his lungs, out his mouth and nose. It has been sporadic for awhile now, but this one wouldn't stop. You might remember that he was diagnosed with untreatable lung cancer a couple of years ago. But he's a strong spirited survivor and has beat the odds. The disease is progressing rapidly now. As I write this, he was released from the hospital yesterday. He's doing as well as can be expected at this point.
So, I board a plane in a couple of hours and our itinerary is questionable right now. We will be heading back to Nevada, we're just not sure if I will return to help Larry make the trip back or if he will do it alone. We'll have to see how it goes the next week or so. Prayers would be appreciated and I will post an update in a few days. Thank you for all of your kind words and support....
