Yup, Wednesday was our one year anniversary on the road and that means we are into year 2. We are as excited about that as we were when we started. This is a wonderful way for us to live at this moment. Half day Wednesday was the motto. We all worked until 11:30 and had the afternoon off to explore. Shirley and I went to Avery Island, the home of Tabasco. Did you know Tabasco is the most recognized pepper sauce in the world? And they export to 160 countries! We took a tour of the only manufacturing plant there is and shopped in this very neat country store. They even have housing for employees on the grounds AND Shirley's sister and husband once stayed there when they moved for a couple of months to try out Louisiana. Then we went to the Avery Island Jungle Gardens and was that ever nice. Well landscaped and plenty of water made for a most beautiful drive and park/walking event. Finished off with a take out Po Boy seafood sandwich for dinner and again game night. We had a TERRIFIC anniversary. Enjoy the pics.
