Our campground in Hempstead TX

Large reception hall on the grounds of the RV park

This only happens every 4 years AND it our daughter Darci's actual 8th anniversary of her marriage to John Chambers. Hard to believe it was 8 years ago a handful of us went to South Florida for their wedding on a cruise ship. Following this wonderful time was when my mind was really turning to retiring. Anyway, we left Paul and Namwiza's Austin TX home (it is a beauty) and are heading east. We are about 30 miles west of Houston. Before we left there were a few chores to do. Shirley finished up helping Namwiza with the kitchen and took care of the 3 little ones as she went to the store. Personal note: we are SO proud of these folks who have endured hardships most of us could never imagine. Fleeing in the night from a tent camp while people were being killed all around them by gunfire. Man oh man. Getting back, I fixed two flats on Melissa's bike. You think that was easy right? Not for Bob. She has hand brakes on the front wheel and training wheels on the back. I needed to virtually take the bike apart to complete my task AFTER a 12 mile round trip to get the inner tubes. Those of you who know me well can understand this type of activity is NOT in my strength area. However, I did finish in a record time of 2 hours and 13 minutes!! We do enjoyed our stay with the 7 of the Sabineza's. I hope you enjoy the pics.
