Looking out into the Gulf from atop of Fort Desoto

We finally got a reservation at Fort Desoto about 4 months ago. It is a popular Pinellas County Park that is always filled up when it comes to getting reservations. We had a great campsite. The campsites are very secluded from each other with lots of tropical plants and trees. The dogs enjoyed it because they could dig around in the bushes and smell everything in sight. We rode the bikes around town one evening to see downtown St. Pete. We went to the Pier and the Bay Walk which is a popular spot in town. We spent the day on Saturday at the beach and at the fort. The fort is a registered historical sight and was very neat. We were going to take the dogs to the Dog Beach on Sunday morning but it was overcast and we decided to head home.
