Alaska...Again 2016 travel blog

Day 38. Today we drove the Nebesna Rd. VERY rough 42 miles. Stopped at Ranger station to get map first. They have complimentary cd's giving mile by mile info. They also had the cutest jr. Ranger hat and vest for Jessica. That's the first time I've seen it. So, of course we had to get it. At the end of the road (of course) was a hike up to an old copper mine. Another very steep trail, but no spots where I had to crab walk. For dinner I used the rest of the crab meat with some marinara sauce over fried zucchini patties. Still good. Karen and family went down to the lake after dinner and took out a paddle boat and paddled all around the lake. Think we'll go halfway back to Anchorage tomorrow so the drive won't be so long. Between bad frost heaves, potholes, and construction it takes longer than normal considering the miles.
