Sittin on the dock of the bay on a torpedo with the...

So after 18 hours in port at Port Orchard in the bay of Bremerton (home of a huge naval shipyard) we are on our way further south. We read the guide books, and learned that this would be a quaint town with murals, covered walkways and nice little shops and restaurants. What we found in great number were bail bond stores (4 in a 3 block area),bars, many shops closed for business, a bus stop with a young woman begging for dollars and a very nice marina office staff. The most redeeming factor there...a bakery. Yep, awesome cinamon rolls, muffins and a German peasant bread just out of the oven. Guess we will be running this afternoon for good reason! Still gray but staying dry and enjoying looking at the beautiful homes that line the shores of each inlet we see underway. Seems like a great way to live.

Planning to stop at Vashon Island tonight. See Ya!
