Tawkin' to Dad

We headed to church in Apache Junction (35,000 + population)and attended the longest service since we began our trip. Not bad, just sayin'. 8:45 kickoff and the benediction was at 10:25. The Desert Chapel UMC holds the record. Then we moved the camper down 3 spaces because our truck is being serviced today and the spot we were in was booked for Monday. Our new spot is still beautiful just not as fine as the other. After moving we drove a mile or so to the Goldfield Mine and ghost town. Back in the 1800's they struck gold and the boom town that followed was called Goldfield. Now it is a tourist attraction that has been built as an old west town. I think they could do better by charging an admission price with all the activities included. However, it was an interesting place to visit and we did have a surprisingly tasty lunch. The big honkin' dually is in for a major job. Nothing mechanical like the engine but a clogged EGR valve caused by soot build up in the manifold. I hope he gets good drugs because it is a 10 hour operation. Send money and enjoy the pics.
