Once again we're back in South Dakota

Back in Americas Mailbox campground

Sun, 07 Jul: After nine days sitting in one spot it was finally time to head out. We took our sweet time getting things ready for the road. We didn't have to be anywhere special at any time special, so we took a slow scan through our check lists and double checked one another.

We drove a few hundred feet to the dump site where we emptied our holding tanks. We were pretty pleased to get nine days camping without having to dump, we're really getting the hang of this water conservation stuff.

We finally rolled wheels for real a few minutes before ten and, with the exception of a driver change near Sundance, WY, plodded east along I 90 with nary a care in the world. All systems ran perfectly and we enjoyed watching eastern Wyoming and western South Dakota unfold outside our windows. This is really the way to travel.

We arrived at Americas Mailbox campground about half past noon and eased into the last available site (they'd reserved it for us). We were settled in by noon and warmed up some left overs from last week's dining adventures. We have quite a supply of left overs so our busy road day meals are already to go.

Carmen & Domingo are here, parked at the Flying J just up the hill. They'll be here overnite and will continue on to Michigan after picking up their mail tomorrow morning. Ron & Joan are also here and plan to spend a week or two. This evening we're planning to dine at Quaker Steak & Lube with both couples.

Plans are for us to leave Box Elder first thing Tuesday morning and head for Forest City, Iowa. We have an appointment at the Winnebago Factory Service Center Thursday so two day's should give us ample time to drive the 533 or so miles.

More anon...
