Bay where we are anchored for the night

We had hoped to make Poulsbo in Liberty Bay today but the tides of 12.5ft, mast height of 62' and fixed bridge height of 75' in Agnes channel gave us a whopping .5' of clearance....just a little too close for comfort.

So we sit at anchor next to the Kingston marina with the ferry terminal to port. There are beautiful homes surrounding the bay and just a couple of other vacated boats at anchor near us. We have had no rain today (what a treat!)and by the way, sprinkling doesn't count any more. We anticipate about 20kts of wind tonight and running of the generator for warming this evening. We will see how this works out. The best news, we have a generator and reverse cycle heater/AC units that work quite well.

Seattle is just 25 miles southeast of where we sit and gives us a nice skyline to peer at. Tomorrow we look to make Eagle harbor on Bainbridge Island. We spent some time there with our buddy Bruce via car from Port Townsend in last November. It was a nice stopping place for shopping and eating out. I look forward to spending a little more time there this weekend. Take care.
