Dear Family and Friends,

11 am EST (Patti here)

After a very rainy Saturday (we did laundry, went to the grocery store, watched TV,etc.), Sunday dawned ”bright and beautiful.“ Hurray!

We were off to 'see the sights' in Ruskin, FL — alas, the Strawberry Festival was not open on Sunday, but we did find the Bed, Bath, and Beyond store, made our purchases, and had lunch at the Sonic drive-in; envision the old A&W drive-in's, complete with roller skating servers - brought back memories.

Our big purchase at BB&B was a Bissell stick vacuum cleaner, with attachments and folding handle; works well and stores under the bed. John tried it out this morning and was happy to confirm that vacuuming was now a five-minute job :0)

Having met someone in Tampa who recommended that we do so, we visited Little Manatee River State Park, a rustic, underdeveloped park offering an equestrian campground with riding and hiking trails. We chose the shorter, Oxbow Trail but still got to see some of the river views . . . but no manatees.

Returned to our RV Park; John cooked out, and I gave the new microwave/convection oven a "trial run“ with baking potatoes... which proved interesting: you wrap the potatoes in foil AFTER they come out of the oven (10 minutes). They were still warm when we sat down for supper. We had (store bought, but delicious) strawberries for dessert and watched Madam Secretary and Downton Abbey before turning in.

This morning we are doing chores, paying bills, catching up on e-mails. Still getting familiar with the coachs' operating systems; not sure we can trust the tank sensors - they don't check out with our common sense instinct about water usage, so we'll be watching that as we move along.

Next stop: Camp Florida, Lake Placid, FL
