Steve Checking RV Wheel Torque in Shorts, Sandals and Wool Cap

Elk Meadow RV Campground, Estes Park, Colorado Campsite

2008 Western Trip September 12 Journal Entry – Estes Park, Colorado

We arrived in Estes Park, Colorado after 423 long miles from Grand Island, Nebraska while climbing from 1700 feet elevation to 7500 feet. We traveled through rain, again, having spent our miles in rain in Iowa and Nebraska too. Tomorrow is to be 72F and clear in Estes Park. : )

When we arrived today, it was sprinkling and 45F. I had on my driving shorts and sandals and looked and felt out of place with the other campers at Elk Meadows Campground in their winter coats.

We have a nice site at the end of the campgrounds and we can look out our rear RV window and see the snow capped mountain tops.

We picked up a new RV wheel dust cap in Grand Island, NE to replace the carefully formed cap of duct tape that we were using since we lost the original cap in PA.
