This is a very nice campground with full hookups and many services for fulltimers. Escapees was established in the 70's to help fulltime RVer's and has grown to be quite a large organization with campgrounds all over the country that are very reasonably priced for members. $12.50 per nite plus electric and there are less expensive sites available. This is where I have my mail forwarding service and it is a good one. I picked up my mail today and have been sorting thru it ever since.
I have been a very busy person today setting up my Texas residency. It will probably take all day tomorrow and possibly more before I can hit the road again. I had DirectTV installed today in the rig and have an 8:00 am appointment tomorrow to get the water pump fixed. After all my local stuff is finished I'll be heading to Houston to get the big awning replaced. The original one was really showing wear and I decided to go ahead and bite the bullet and get a new and improved one. Then on to Colorado.
This heat is just oppressive. Right now it's 92, feels like 99 with high humidity. Fortunately my A/C units are working very well and I'm quite comfortable inside, but when you step out the door it really hits you big time. I'm staying inside studying up on how the DirectTV works, sorting thru my mail, listening to music on the XM radio and doing this post. That's when I'm not chasing all over town trying to line up my Texas residency. Both the Ranger and the Dutch Star passed their state inspections today.
Lots of nice, friendly people at this campground, which tracks with my past experience.
So far I'm very much enjoying this fulltiming thing and I can only imagine what it will be like when I'm in some really beautiful places. I'll keep you posted.
