I do believe it's true. We rode our bikes about 2 1/2 miles to the Reid Park Zoo. It was a beauty of a day with sun and temps about 72. We weren't the only ones with this idea as there were quite a few folks enjoying the animals. The zoo is on the small side but many interesting animals that were actually quite close. I have never seen a giraffe this close in my life. Had a nice lunch on the grounds and headed back on our way to the parking lot. We have new neighbors, Dave and Karen have joined us with their 5th wheel camper. They are part of the VIM (Volunteers in Mission) group sponsored by the United Methodist Church. They have been coming here for over 10 years helping. Along with Chuck and Sandra the four will bridge the gap until the next wave of NOMADS show up in mid Feb. We certainly hope to be gone by mid week as I await delivery of testing materials. Of course Monday is a holiday so I probably won't get them until Tuesday. Off to church. Enjoy the pics.
