We had a relatively leisurely day today. We had breakfast then went to, for us, a late service at First Baptist Church in Crescent City. The church is small by our standards with about 65 in attendance, but almost four times larger than the one in Cannon Beach! The pastor was excellent and held everyone's attention, speaking, so far as I could see without notes. His message on "Encouragement" from Thessalonians was thought provoking and well received.
On the way back we stopped at Walmart to get a couple of items we had been unable to get at Safeway the other day. We had lunch and Christine spoke to our daughter for a while. We caught up on emails then went for a walk among the tall redwoods in the campground. Between the trees are large stumps of what we assume are sequoia trees and several downed trunks of dead trees. These trees are enormous and photos do not really capture the size of them.
We came back to the trailer and prepared dinner which was again enjoyed. We sorted out the photos and Christine caught up with the journal.
Tomorrow we plan to head back up northwards and catch at a more leisurely pace the area we drove down with the trailer to get here.
