The Channel Country August 2013 travel blog

On the road just after 8 this morning, heading for home. Uneventful day, no emus, no roadkill, no narrow dirt roads, just user friendly freeways.

Stopped for fuel and toilet stop and found a healthy take away shop. Picked up lunch that we could eat on the way.

We arrived home early afternoon, and as we had packed most of our things into big plastic bags it was just a matter of unloading them into the house.

We have travelled 9597klms this trip, used 980litres ($1572) of fuel. We spent 42 nights in caravan parks ($1629.60), which averaged $38.80 per night.

It is a very hot day here in the Gong, so the washing is drying almost before I put it out on the line.

We have had a great trip, but very good to be home.
