Our King Crab Dinner

Today we head out for Kenai to watch the fisherman catching the Salmon. They call it combat fishing because there are so many in the water at one time. The people around here rely on catching enough fish to last them all winter. People native to Alaska can get a permit to dip net fish which is a net on a long pole and it traps the fish swimming up to spawn. We visited a Russian Orthodox church and graveyard. Had a group dinner of King Crab and just sat there and talked about all that we have seen.

Well Kenai is the last stop on our Guided tour with Alaska RV Tours and what a ride. We will recommend this tour to everyone. We learned so much about the state of Alaska and it's people. It is hard to think that 33 days are gone but enjoyed it sp very much.

Potluck dinner tomorrow to end the tour.
