|Hungover. Up early for nothing, flight cancelled to milford sound. Not a great start to the day. After a night of free booze and food, we were sure feeling the effects today. To make it worse, we had booked a flight from queenstown to milford sound, which was supposed to be a very picturesque part of New Zealand. Our flight was due to leave at 8 am, so we called as instructed to check on our flight status, and we were informed that the weather was not co-operating in milford sound and was extremely foggy, So our trip was cancelled. Kinda disappointing but oh well, the sun was shining and it was crazy hot in queenstown. After touring around the waterfront and shopping a bit more in the morning we met up with Christel and Pete and their 2 year old son Harley at Pete's restaurant for lunch. It was as good as the night before, so once again we over ate. After lunch they took us out to their acreage where they were having a full renovation done on their house. This was great for me as I was quite curious to see how house construction differed from Canada. Kara and Christel hung out with Harley in their yard overlooking the valleys and mountains, while I toured the house. After a cruise through the countryside with them, they dropped us off at our hostel and we got some of our stuff packed up. When we got bored with that, the two of us headed back to Brazz for one last really good New Zealand meal! And it didn't disappoint again. We stuffed ourselves again, slowly headed back to the hostel and hit the hay for our early get up, and flight to Australia.
