Camrose - south of Edmonton

Botha - our old home town

Our first home together

Stopped for a train just before Drumheller

Hello - How is everyone today?

Today we headed south – we hit a few rain storms along the way mixed in with the sunshine. We were lucky to skirt a few major storm cells…..I tried to get some good photos of the cloud formations – but it just didn’t work…..maybe next time!

We stopped at the old farm for a visit and dinner in Botha. I took photos of the house Peter & I lived in – our first home together! I had a few tears in my eyes as I walked through the house, around the farm, and visited with our friends - remembering all the good times we had when we lived there.

We are so lucky to have such wonderful friends all over Alberta – so many friends who have stayed in touch over the years. No wonder I had a tough time when we moved to Ontario back in 1987 – I was homesick for our home and all our friends for over two years! At that time, if we’d had the money, we would have moved back immediately! I truly believe we feel like Alberta is our second home because of all the friends. The kind of friends who make you feel at home immediately – as if we’ve never been away!

To all our friends in Alberta and around the world – we thank you for being – you!

With love, Peter & Connie
