I am back in Auckland. I am sort of glad to be back in the "Big Smoke" although this place is still a hole. This stop will involve another work search, which I hope can be completed in a few days. I don't know if I really need to work, but I don't want to get stuck somewhere and have to make a phonecall asking for cash.
After I find out what is going on I will then make the rest of my New Zealand and Australian travel plans. I still need to go to the north cape and go fishing and sandboarding and explore the central and east capes of the north island. After that I will be headed to Australia where I will explore everything from Melbourne to Darwin by going up the south and east coasts and through the red center. I also hope to get down to Tasmania. I am sort of in limbo right now and it sucks, but once things get sorted I will have more to talk about so keep checking the website.
June 7th. My first full day back in Auckland in a long time. After getting an idea of where the work is I have decided to go to the far north (Kerikeri) and work on the kiwi fruit or mandarin orchards. There should be work until September although I only will work for a short while. After that I booked another bungy jump. Yes, another bungy jump. After doing the "Thrillogy" in Queenstown I decided that doing the jump in Auckland for $60 was a good deal. It was just as nerve racking as the other jumps but totally worth it. I got dunked in the harbour and all I can say is that the sea is salty. This will be my last bungy jump for a while, but I think everyone should try it.
