The Visitor’s Center was quiet – less people each day. By lunch, it was sunny and warm enough to eat outdoors, which we greatly enjoyed. Dinner was homemade pizza – hamburger/garlic/onion/mushroom and plenty of cheese. Our ride on the spit was delightful, a lovely, calm evening, and even though it is the Friday night of Labor Day Weekend, the few people around seemed quite subdued – mostly Alaska folks, with a few tourists. I’ll bet it gets really quiet around here on Tuesday.
