Lucy-Desi Museum in Jamestown, NY

We discovered the Lucy-Desi Museum in Jamestown, New York. Jamestown is the birthplace of Lucille Ball. The entire town has made itself the spotlight of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Everywhere you look there is some dedication to the pair.

The Lucy-Desi Museum is filled with artifacts of the life of Lucy and Desi. There were displays with numerous pictures and momentos of her life in and out of Hollywood.

The Desilu Playhouse was down the street and was filled with artifacts of their Hollywood life. Included in the playhouse were the actual sets of their apartment on the I Love Lucy show as well as her kitchen and the hotel room when they shot in Hollywood. There were costumes from her shows and movies and her gold Mercedes.

The town of Jamestown is celebrating Lucy's 99th birthday on the weekend of August 8-10, 2010. Vivian Vance would have been 100 this year also.

Throughout the town were four massive murals of famous events in her life and show career.

It was a fun-filled day with Lucy!
