Our last official NOMADS day here in Tucson was action packed. We each did a round of clean up fix up at the TMM campus waiting for the arrival of over 200 shoe box gifts from local schools for the kids here. After lunch the truck arrived and we set up a bucket brigade with some of the teenagers who were home due to final exam schedules. Plus six of us and Vern. The unloading went easily with so many hands. Then the 6 of us went to opening and sorting the various items which will be mainly stocking stuffers. Wow there were a lot of boxes. However, it did go quicker than we all originally thought. Some final polishing of the campus and we were finished! Gary, Jeanne, Shirley and I went to a Chinese buffet for dinner and then drove thought the most fantastic neighborhood light display we have ever seen. Virtually every house participated in a BIG way. We say good bye to our new friends Charlie and Sheri as they are hitting the road again. They are full timers for 2 1/2 years. Hopefully our paths will cross again. We along with Gary and Jeanne are staying another week just because. Three day weekend and a bit of Tucson exploring is on tap for us kids. Enjoy the pics.
