Homeless Jobless Bum travel blog

Okay I am not a fan of the 'Space Race'. In fact I think that the amount of money spent on sending people or anything to space to be a kick in the guts to Earth. Why? Well we are slowly turning this planet into a wasteland and some people believe that the only option is to find another place to inhabit. What a load of crap.

This planet could recover if we took a few back steps and took some compromises. Of course there are certain people and nationalities that refuse to do that. It makes me angry that money that has no benefit to the masses, is spent chasing a possibility. Yes they could find a cure for Cancer or Aids with crystals that they can only grow in space. But wouldn't it be cheaper to try and do that here?

Anyway, enough of my bitching. No matter what my personal beliefs are, I loved the Kennedy Space Centre experience. It is fun to see what they have on offer. It's amazing to see a space rocket up close. I got a kick out of it. I'll admit it. The only downer was the Imax movie I watched. The movie wasn't too bad. The fact that they only talked about a few of the astronauts instead of all those involved in what they were showing, was a little annoying. Tom Cruise narrating was also a downer. I just can't take that guy seriously anymore. Ever since that Oprah episode and the whole Scientology thing, he's not someone I respect or get enthralled listening too.

It was a good outing and I would recommend it. Take the whole day to visit. You will need it as the time goes by pretty quickly and there are lots of things to see and experience.

From there I wanted to get up to St. Augustine so I would be close to the Ripley's for tomorrows adventure.
