The token bike pose!

There must have been something funny in my burger last night as I woke up this morning thinking about something that I never EVER though would ever cross my mind.......doing a bungy jump!

It was the longest 15 minute drive of my life down to the Kawarau Bridge Bungy!

When we got there we went and watched a few people jump, including an old-ish lady who has wanted to do it forever and loved it!.....now this is the thing, it has never once crossed my mind to do a bungy jump! If you know me well then you will know that extremeism isn't reeeeeally my style...I'm more of a cup of tea in front of the telly kinda gal! But today for some unknown reason I will never quite know I decided to step out of my comfort zone!

After a few encouraging words from a group of bikers I was chatting too, I gave Ozz the shock of his life and told him I was going to do it!

We went up to the desk and it turned out they were on an half an hour break which was really not what I wanted as it gave me time to back out!! So I pretty much just paced up and down with sweaty palms for the next 25 mins then got checked in and weighed as soon as I could.

Rather luckily I managed to sneak straight in and jump pretty much straight away as there was 5 over excited Japanese girls in front of me!

After asking such questions as "am I going to die" and "Are you sure that is done up right" it was time to go.

I tried not to look down and think about what I was doing too much, and had already decided to jump on the first 3-2-1 or I would never have gone!

I can't really remember too much about the feeling of it! The free fall didn't seem to last for too long then I was being bounced around like a rag doll then I was in the boat before I knew it!

Afterwards I didn't know if I loved it or hated it....I was a bit of a state! but looking back I think I did and I am so glad I did it.....and I have just decided that I am a secret adrenaline junkie deep down!

After picking up my free T-shirt and getting my pics and DVD Ozz treated me to a hoodie from the Bungy shop for being brave, then we went to the winery next door to have a bit of a tasting and buy a couple of bottles!

We went back to town and grabbed some lunch then Ozz decided to get a bike for the afternoon......I opted for a cuppa and a snooze! as it was all a bit too much for me!

Over to you Ozz.............

Basically there are a few cool tracks about 6 Km down the road. just a git that it was 6 Km uphill into the wind to get there!!! They do a heli-cycle which choppers you up to the top of a mountain and then you peg it down, but I decided to do it the old fashioned way. Besides that had already left!

When I got back a few hours later I tried to collapse on the bed, but Em had beaten me to it and was soundo!

Well it has been a big day for the little munchkin!

:)

p.s. The video of the jump is on my facebook page as it wouldn't let me post it on here.
